Our History

HondaValDor Batisse

Val-d’Or Honda’s adventure began in 1979 under the name Autoroule Honda, founded by Mr. Adrien Carbonneau. A visionary, he ran the dealership and became a pioneer in Abitibi by introducing the Honda franchise, then recognized as one of the first imported car brands in the region.

In 2014, Sébastien Roy and his group acquired the dealership, marking the beginning of a new phase of growth. In keeping with the manufacturer’s standards, Honda’s image was modernized in 2019 to reflect the brand’s quality and innovation.

In 2025, Sébastien Roy took over as president and principal dealer, supported by three key partners:

Together, they pursue the mission of making the Honda brand shine in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Their daily commitment is reflected in exemplary customer service and the development of a used vehicle department that has become a regional benchmark for both sales and purchases.

This story is above all a beautiful entrepreneurial succession, driven by key employees and Sébastien Roy’s desire to give back the opportunity he himself received more than 25 years ago in the automotive industry.

Today, Val-d’Or Honda embodies passion, proximity, and innovation, offering each customer an experience that combines tradition and modernity.
